Craig Spence Selected By Mississauga In The OHL Draft

Craig Spence has been selected in the 7th round of the 2018 OHL Draft by the Mississauga Steelheads.

Spence was drafted 128th overall.

The 2002 Chatham born defenseman played this season for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones Minor Midget ‘AAA’ team.

A Chatham product, and student at Chatham-Kent Secondary School, Spence led the Alliance in scoring by a defenseman this season, collecting 27 points in 33 regular season games.

The 6’1″ blueliner also skated in 4 games this season for the Junior B Chatham Maroons, collecting 2 assists.

Spence’s older brother, Grant Spence, was a 2015 OHL Draft pick of the Oshawa Generals, and spent last season playing for the Chatham Maroons.

This season, Thamesville’s Trent Fox finished his OHL career in Mississauga.
