Chatham’s Cam Creechan had a strong showing this weekend at the annual Red-Black game.

The game, which was held at the University of Guelph, featured 90 of the best U18 football players from across Ontario, and is the final step in the selection of Team Ontario’s Canada Cup roster.

Creechan, a 17-year-old kicker who plays for the UCC Lancers, and will compete this summer for the Essex Ravens Varsity program, hit a field goal attempt, two conversions, and punted successfully in the game.

Creechan played for Team Black, who were victorious winning 17-10.

The Chatham-Kent Cougars alumni also participated in the OUA Recruit Fair, and a University style mini-camp.

Team Ontario will feature 40 players, plus 14 alternates for the Football Canada Cup in Calgary this summer.
