Pegg Sets Record At York Meet

Emma Pegg added to her already impressive running resume this weekend, as the Chatham-Kent Secondary School set a record at the York University high school track and field meet.

Emma Pegg won the midget girls 600m race, breaking the previous record at the event with a time of 1:41.94.

Pegg narrowly missed winning another event, finishing second in the 1500m event with a time of 5:14.50.

A month ago, Pegg won the Midget Girls 800m Athletics Ontario track meet in Toronto in 2:19.

In the Fall, the grade 9 CKSS student won the LKSSAA and SWOSSSAA titles for cross country
