DeKoning To Captain Legionnaires

The 20-year-old forward had a career high 18 goals and 47 points, despite only playing 37 games this past year. Last season, DeKoning served as an alternate captain for the Legionnaires.
A Lambton Junior Sting ‘AAA’ alumni, DeKoning was a participant in the 2016-2017 GOJHL Top Prospects game and has 148 GOJHL regular season and post season games on his resume.
He will be joined by his brother, Nolan DeKoning, on the Sarnia Legionnaires after the team signed the younger netminder earlier this offseason.
The Sarnia Legionnaires also named their alternate captains – Jon Sanderson, Ben Schoch, Jake Vince.
