Goure Named To Canada’s National Para Ice Hockey Team, Whitson Coaching
The 28-year-old Goure has participated for Canada in the past, winning a silver medal as part of Team Canada at the 2014 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey Women’s International Cup.
The defender was selected for Canada’s National Team after camp this past week in Amherstburg, Ontario.
Goure has been a part of Canada’s women’s program since 2006, and has served as an assistant captain in the past.
Also joining the Canadian National Women’s Para Ice Hockey Team this year, will be Chatham’s Derek Whitson, who will serve as an assistant coach with the team.
Whitson, a long time member of Canada’s National men’s team is in his first international coaching role.
