Local OHLer Brendan Harrogate will not play for the Oshawa Generals this season, as Harrogate was not among the three overage players the Generals retained for opening night.

The Generals kept Matt Brassard, Eric Henderson, and Domenic Commisso as their three 1998 born players.

Last season, Harrogate was acquired by the Generals from the Mississauga Steelheads, the organization Harrogate had spent his entire OHL career with.

He had 10 goals and 25 points in 54 games last season.

Over his career, Harrogate played 156 games, collecting 57 points.

He also played a season of GOJHL hockey with the LaSalle Vipers as a 16-year-old after graduating from the Chatham-Kent Cyclones.

Harrogate will now likely look to catch on with an OUA team, but could also return to the GOJHL.
