Former Area Coach Handed Heavy Suspension For Tampering
Former Chatham Maroons and Wallaceburg Lakers head coach Mark Davis was handed a heavy suspension this week from the Ontario Hockey Association.
Davis, who is currently the head coach of the Mooretown Flags, along with the team’s general manager John Baker, each received a 10-game suspension from the OHA for tampering.
Tampering is typically the attempt to get a player to leave another roster, or a team they are still the property of, or speaking to a player for this purpose, without the consent of the other organization.
Mooretown currently sits in 5th place in the PJHL’s Stobbs Division.
