Four UCC Wrestlers Qualify For OFSAA

This past Thursday, several UCC wrestlers competed in the SWOSSA tournament at Lambton College. Once again, the wrestlers competed fiercely and left it all out on the mats.

Of the seven wrestlers who entered the tournament, six earned medals and four qualified for OFSAA.

Zack Parent and Daniel Crummer made it to the end and wrestled eachother for gold. Crummer came out on top for the gold and Parent left with silver.

Vanessa Devolder earned a silver in the finals and successfully defended her title against a challenge from the third place finisher.

Maddison Segeren, KD Jung, and Kayla Smith each fought hard and came home with bronze medals.

Crummer, Parent, Devolder, and Smith will compete at OFSAA.

The OFSAA wrestling championships will take place March 4-6 in Ottawa.
