The Chatham Outlaws Midget ‘AA’ team was ousted from the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League playoffs Saturday, after they were upset by Cambridge.

Cambridge opened the series with a 3-0 win, before tying Chatham 2-2 in the second game.

Chatham fought back in the third game of the series, winning in regulation 2-1, with Brooke Michaud scoring both goals, forcing the teams to play a sudden death 10-minute overtime to decide the series.

With the series tied 3-points each, the 10-minute overtime was then played, with Cambridge scoring with less than two minutes remaining to take the win, and eliminate Chatham.

In the regular season, Chatham was first place in the Lower Lakes West Division with a 13-2-7 record, earning them a bye to the second round of playoffs. Cambridge eliminated Waterloo before taking out the Outlaws.

With the Chatham Girls Hockey Association merging with the Kent County Girls Hockey Association next year under a new name, Chatham Outlaws hockey is coming to a finale in the coming weeks.
