Deni Goure went high in the 2019 OHL Draft, and the Owen Sound Attack got the player they wanted, leading to mutual excitement from both.

“Extremely excited to bring a player of his caliber to the organization. Super skilled, high compete, speedy centre which will match our style of play moving forward,” said Owen Sound Attack assistant general manager Joey Hishon.

The Chatham-Kent Cyclones captain was named Alliance Player of the Year after notching 53 points in 32 games. He also contributed in a handful of games for the GOJHL’s Chatham Maroons.

“So excited to be drafted by the @attackohl,” Goure wrote on social media. “Can’t wait to get started.”

As the 10th overall pick in the first round, Goure became the highest ever Chatham-Kent Cyclones player to be drafted.
