JV Cougars Holding First Place
The Chatham-Kent Cougars Junior Varsity team had another strong performance winning 33-6 over the Brantford Bisons on the weekend, holding first in the OFC West.
“This was the JVs toughest test up to this point, very physical game,” said Head Coach Herb McCauley.
“Defensive Coordinator John McCauley and the defense had a good pressure package on the Brantford Offense.”
Logan Stefina rushed for 121 yards on 5 carries and Tyler Shumanski rushed for 133 yards on 5 carries. Darion Bacik threw for a TD pass.
Jude Pearson, Braydon Charboneau, and Brent Wagerzyn were the leading tacklers. Koren Stewart had an INT.
The JV Cougars are now 5-0-1 on the season.
