Silver Lining For Beach Volleyball Teams

Three Chatham-Kent beach volleyball teams won silver medals this weekend, including the duos of Elliot Cowan and Lauryn Lahey, Clarke Denomy and Kaden Reid, and Ela Bos and Marcy Shaw.

In lots of OVA beach action this past weekend in Port Stanley, Elliot Cowan and Lauryn Lahey brought home silver medals after playing in the 15U Premier Division of nine teams. Gabby Arbour and Lauren Garrow were quarter-finalists.

In the 15U Division of eight teams, Clarke Denomy and Kaden Reid also brought home silver medals.

In the 15U Championship Division of nine teams, Ela Bos and Marcy Shaw won silver medals while Megan Bosma and Ella Powers were quarter-finalists and Chloe Powers and Janea Vanderveen were prequarter-finalists. In the 13U Premier Division of 11 teams Kenzie Lahey and Teya Meredith were semi-finalists while Sadie Breault and Campbell Phaneuf were prequarter-finalists. In the 13U Championship Division of eight teams, Hudson Denure and Audrey O’Hara were quarter-finalists.

Back in Port Stanley on Sunday, in the girls 14U Premier Division of 12 teams, Ela Bos and Marcy Shaw brought home silver medals. Chloe Powers and Cameron Dieleman were prequarter-finalists. In the 16U Premier Division of 12 teams, Kenzie Lahey and Lauryn Lahey were semi-finalists while quarter-finalists were Drew Davis and Abbey Piatkowski along with Kerrigan Jacques and Mya Van Eerd. In the 14U Premier Division of five teams, Liam Cobb and Bryson Davis quarter-finalists. In the 12U Premier Division of nine teams, Megan Fife and Lauren Griffioen were quarter-finalists.
