Stonehouse Powers Team Griffith To Athletes Fuel Cup Title

In the semi-finals, Team Griffith, led by captain Seth Griffith of the AHL’s Manitoba Moose, best Team Brodie 7-5. Griffith has a hat trick in the win.
Team Griffith then best Team Hope 11-4 in the final with multi-goal efforts from Stonehouse (3), Brady Pataki (3), Griffith (2), and Darby Lemieux (2).
Stonehouse, who will play Minor Midget ‘AAA’ this season for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs, and is considered on of the top OHL Draft prospects from the Alliance, was named tournament MVP, and set a new Athletes Fuel Cup scoring record with 15 goals. He topped OHL first round pick Deni Goure, who had 12 goals last season.
