Local Products Considered Prospects For NLL Draft
Kyle Dawson, a long time Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse and Wallaceburg Red Devils star was recently listed as a Top 40 prospect for the draft, coming in at #38 on one projected list.
Dawson spent this past season with the Nanaimo Timbermen of the British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League where he was named the league’s Most Sportsmanlike Player while scoring 25 goals and 22 assists. The Wallaceburg Red Devils alumni was also a captain for Team Canada at the World Junior Lacrosse Championships in 2018.
Another former Red Devil, Tyler Brown was also listed as a prospect, coming in at #42. Brown spent last season with the St. Catherines Athletics Junior A team.
The National Lacrosse League draft will feature 89 selections across 6 rounds. It will be held September 17 in Philadelphia.
