The Ursuline Lancers boys’ curling team are headed to the Ontario School Curling Championship provincial event for the third straight year. The team of Alex Jeromel (skip), Austin Haddock (vice), John Pumfrey (second) and Caden Rivard (lead) won the B side zone qualifier in Leamington on December 14-15 2019 and the A side regional qualifier in Woodstock on February 1-2 2020. The team is coached by Jim Brackett and Amy Dumoulin. The provincial event is being hosted by the Chatham Granite Club and runs from February 13-15. Admission is free and spectators are welcome.
The Ursuline Lancers girls’ curling team also competed in the Ontario School Curling Championship regional event in Woodstock after the B side zone qualifier in Leamington on December 14-15 2019. The team finsihed their weekend in Woodstock with a 1-2 record and did not qualify for the provincial event. The team is skipped by Cora Vice and coached by Blake Vince. Other team members are Leanne Burgess, Kylie Farrell, Elizabeth Harkin and Olivia Taylor.
