The Mooretown Flags are first in the PJHL Stobbs Division in goals per game, and powerplay percentage, making them a deadly opponent for the upcoming playoffs.

In their last 7 games, the Flags have averaged an astonishing 8.85 goals for per game.

After the return of their captain Brock Perry, who has 58 points in only 16 games after suffering a broken leg early in the season, the Flags are riding a wave into playoffs. Perry has OHL experience, and trails only teammate Max Steeves in league scoring.

Steeves, of Sarnia, spent the last two seasons playing Junior A in the OJHL.

Mooretown also has several local products on their roster.

Brodie Conlon (42 points in 37 games), Brody Genyn (33 points in 35 games), and Daniel Fraleigh (17 points in 39 games) are all Wallaceburg products.

While others, including Greg Hay (Dresden Kings), Nolan Farr (Wallaceburg Lakers), Dawson Winchester (Dresden Kings), Jake Wilkins (Dresden Kings), and Dawson Vautour (Chatham-Kent Cyclones) have played in the area.

Mooretown will close out their regular season Saturday against the first place Lakeshore Canadiens, who sit only two points ahead of Mooretown.

The Flags will open the playoffs against a Chatham-Kent team, matching up against either the Dresden Kings or Blenheim Blades.
