Our Champions: Fanshawe Falcons Women’s Basketball

In a new feature, “Our Champions,” we’ll look at the areas team’s who didn’t get to finish their season due to COVID-19.

The Fanshawe College Falcons women’s basketball team, which included Chatham’s Jessica Jordan, Wallaceburg’s Ashleigh LaBlance, and Walpole Island’s Legacie Blackbird, won the OCAA championship defeating St. Clair College in the final.

They were slated to the CCAA National Championships from March 18-21 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, but had their season cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
