OHL U18 Draft – Top Local Prospects

The annual OHL U18 Draft will take place this week, with several local products and former Chatham-Kent Cyclones eligible for the draft.

Notably, Anthony Lucarelli of the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs will be a prospect for the draft, as will Windsor Jr. Spitfires defender Alex Park. Both players are from Chatham, and played for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones last season.

Lucarelli finished 4th in the Alliance Hockey midget scoring race with 17 goals and 39 points in 35 games, and 10 points in 10 playoff contests.

Alex Park was top 5 in Alliance defenseman scoring notching 19 points in 35 games. He also played a pair of games for the Chatham Maroons.

Other eligible former Cyclones include Caleb Haalstra, JAcob Habib, Brayden Fryfogle, Nicholas Mazza, Ethan Labbe, Kayne Gagner, and Jake Logan.

The U18 OHL Draft will take place Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 12:00pm.
