Brodie And The Flames Advance

Dresden’s TJ Brodie and the Calgary Flames were on of the first NHL teams to advance through the Stanley Cup qualifiers into the playoffs.

They took the series 3-1 over the Winnipeg Jets, capping off their victory with a 4-0 win Thursday.

Brodie had 3 blocked shots and played 21:36 in the win.

Brodie finished the series with 1 assist in 4 games.

The Philadelphia Flyers improved to 2-0 in their NHL round robin, beating the Washington Capitals 3-1.

They will play the Tampa Bay Lightning, also 2-0, for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

Clachan’s Travis Konecny has 2 assists in 2 games for the Flyers.
