Kloostra To Play Golf For Iowa’s Dordt University

Chatham’s Colin Kloostra will continue his golf career next season at the collegiate level with the Dordt University Defenders men’s golf team.

Kloostra is currently playing on the Jamieson Golf Tour, having a 4th and 6th place finish in his first four tournaments. He was 12th overall on the tournament in 2019, and also participated in the Tyson Junior Tour from 2015 to 2017.

“I chose to commit to Dordt as I was really impressed with the quality of education I could receive at Dordt, specifically the Christi-centered approach to learning. I was also very impressed with Coach Christians who talked about a golf program I would very much like to be a part of,” said Kloostra in a Dordt University news release..

Kloostra will study Civil Engineering at Dordt University, which is located in Sioux Center, Iowa, and competes as a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
