Battle Of The Blades Will Air Thursday

CBC’s Battle of the Blades will finally air this week after a delay occurred due to a production team member testing positive for COVID-19.

This year’s show will feature former Chatham hockey player Meghan Agosta.

“The televised skating competition was supposed kick off on Thursday, but the premiere was postponed last week when a person involved in the production tested positive for the virus,” CBC published this week.

“CBC says the two-hour live debut has been rescheduled to Oct. 22, with singer, TV host and actress Keshia Chanté set to join sportscaster Ron MacLean as hosts of the sixth season.”

8 pairs of skaters will compete for $100,000 in prize money to be donated to a charity of their choice.

The two-air season premiere will air Thursday at 8pm on CBC.
