Deni Goure Named A ‘Player To Watch’ By NHL Central Scouting
When a hockey season does get underway, NHL scouts will be watching Grande Pointe’s Deni Goure.
The Owen Sound Attack forward was named this week as a Player to Watch on NHL Central Scouting’s initial list.
“At this point in the evaluation process and considering the lack of a summer scouting season, it’s much too early to identify a strength for the 2021 draft class other than to state that there are a number of good prospects at every position,” director of NHL Central Scouting Dan Marr said. “There is no Alexis Lafreniere-type prospect with a clear lead as a consensus No. 1.”
Goure, who had 25 points in 65 games in his rookie OHL season, was given a “C” rating by NHL Central Scouting, which places him as a round 4 through 6 prospect.
Goure was the 2019 Alliance Hockey Player of the Year after starring for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones, before becoming the 10th overall selection in the 2019 OHL Draft.
