Oilers Place Seth Griffith On Waivers

The Edmonton Oilers have waived forward Seth Griffith of Wallaceburg.

Griffith, who signed with the Edmonton Oilers this offseason, was placed on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to Edmonton’s AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors.

Edmonton sent 5 players to the minors, dropping their training camp roster to 33 players.

Griffith scored a goal in each of Edmonton’s intersquad games, but due to the number of forwards on one-way NHL contracts, Edmonton was almost certain to assign Griffith to the AHL.
