Brochu Voted Best Goaltender In OHL Preseason Poll

OHL Media cast their votes in the annual OHL Preseason Poll, and Tilbury’s Brett Brochu received recognition as the league’s likely top goaltender.
Brochu received 64% of the vote, with the second most votes (14%) going to Kingston Frontenacs goalie Leevi Merilainen.
Brochu’s London Knights also split the vote with the Windsor Spitfires (43% each) as top contenders for the OHL’s Western Conference title.
In his rookie season, Brochu led the OHL in goals against average, was second in save percentage, and set a new OHL record for wins by a rookie netminder.
He earned invites to Hockey Canada’s World Junior camp each of the past two seasons, and spent last year with the AHL’s Wilkes/Barre-Scranton Penguins during the lockout. He also attended Pittsburgh Penguins training camp this Fall.
