For the first time this season, the Wallaceburg Thunderhawks earned a win. They followed it up by an overtime loss for a three-point weekend.

With those points, the Thunderhawks also have another milestone in sight, climbing out of the PJHL basement for the first time in a decade.

Wallaceburg currently has four points, tying them with the Petrolia Flyers, and placing the team only one point behind the Dresden Kings, who the team defeated Friday night.

In that game, goaltender Jacob Trudgeon stopped 54 shots in a 4-2 win. Logan Peltier, Connor Debot, Jimmy Simpson, and Gerrin Church scored for the Thunderhawks in the win.

Saturday at home the Thunderhawks rebounded from a 4-2 deficit in the first period to force overtime against the Blenheim Blades, where they eventually fell 6-5 with Connor Roth scoring the winner for Blenheim.

Zach Van Boxtel scored a pair for Blenheim, while Ben Barnard, Trent Amaro, Connor Wright, and Roth scored singles.

Wallaceburg goals were scored by Peltier, Debot, Myles Fraser, Tyler Davis, and Eric Degasparo.
