Chatham Thunder Win Three Regional Golds

The Chatham Thunder ringette organization took home a trio of Western Regional tournament gold medals this past weekend.

Chatham’s U16 team played to a 2-0-1 record in their round robin beating Goderich and Elora Fergus, and tying Exeter to finish first in seeding. The position advanced the Thunder to the gold medal game again facing Elora Fergus. In this contest, the Chatham Thunder played to a dominating 4-1 win to take Regional gold.

In the U12 division, Chatham scored an incredible 26 goals in three round robin games beating Dorchester, Waterloo, and St. Mary’s to secure first. In the gold medal game facing second place Waterloo, Chatham won a lopsided 8-1 game to take gold.

Finally, in the U10 (Fun3) division, Chatham swept all four games they played against teams from Guelph and Forest to capture the regional crown.
