Johnson, Rosso-Bonneau Win In Quebec

Chatham’s Pierce Johnson and his beach volleyball partner Hugo Rosso-Bonneau won the 2022 Celtic Challenger tournament in Quebec.

The tournament, featuring 32 teams in the main draw, was highlighted by 13 Team Canada members, 16 Team Quebec competitors, and 5 NCAA athletes.

Johnson recently joined the Team Canada National Beach Development Program and will participate as a member of Team Canada.

This was Johnson and Rosso-Bonneau’s first tournament together this summer. They won their pool, following by a tiebreaker semi-final victory, before taking gold with 21-10 and 21-17 wins in the final.
