Abby Stonehouse Makes NCAA Commitment To Penn State

Abby Stonehouse of Blenheim will play NCAA Division I hockey for Penn State University after committing to the school this week.

“I am extremely honoured and beyond excited to announce my commitment to play NCAA Division I hockey and further my education at Penn State University,” Stonehouse wrote on social media. “I would like to thank my family, friends, coaches, and teammates for the endless support along the way.”

Stonehouse is in her second season playing in the OWHL U22 Elite with the London Devilettes. Last season the Chatham-Kent Crush alumni notched 22 points in 29 games.

Stonehouse’s performance earned her a spot on Canada’s national U-18 team this summer.

Through the first five games of this year’s OWHL U22 Elite season Stonehouse sits sixth in provincial scoring with ten points in five games.
