The Tilbury Bluebirds may be an expansion team in the Western Ontario Super League but they definitely are not playing like one. The Bluebirds are off to a 4-0 start in their season, adding a pair of wins this weekend.

On Saturday at home with over 550 paid attendances, the Bluebirds handed the visiting Stratford Fighting Irish a 6-2 defeat. Scoring for the Bluebirds was Mitchell VanTeeling, Vyacheslav Chegrintsev with a pair, and Brock Grandbois, David Leblanc, Zack Bedard. Tilbury goaltender Ryan Polidori was very solid all night, especially early in the game when the Fighting Irish had some great scoring chances denied by the former Leamington Flyer.

The home team had a 3-0 lead after the 1st period, with the teams each scoring a pair in the second. Only one goal was scored in the third, that being the Bluebirds final.

Sunday the Bluebirds travelled to Plattsville to face the Lakers. They would come home with a 4-1 road win with goals by Nick Tetreault, Mitchell VanTeeling, Vyacheslav Chegrintsev, and Dylan Denomme. The Bluebirds are off till Friday night when they travel to Strathroy to face the Jets. The Erin Blitz are the guests of the Bluebirds Saturday night.
