UCC Lancers win Vaughan Peckham senior girls’ volleyball tournament

The Ursuline Lancers volleyball team have been crowned champions following the Vaughan Peckham senior girls’ volleyball tournament in London over the weekend.

Despite several players being off due to injuries, the Lancers defeated the Amherstburg North Star 25-20, 25-22 in the final at Fanshawe College.

Four of the team’s 12 players have been sidelined with injuries, one of which occurred three points into the first set of the tournament.

The Fanshawe Volleyball Coaching staff selected several Tournament All-Stars including Rowan Guy, Meghan Kormendy and Kaidance Matteis, who was also named the tournament’s MVP.
