Ice time now available at three CK rinks
Municipal officials are gearing up for skating season, opening three local arenas for pre-season ice time.
Ian Clark, Chatham-Kent’s manager of Parks, Recreation, and Cemeteries, said this is an important time for minor associations and junior clubs, who are busy with selection camps and other preparations for the upcoming season.
“Opening these facilities to accommodate those groups also allows us to book available ice to residents for more casual or recreational uses,” Clark said in a news release.
Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre in Dresden, Thames Campus Arena in Chatham, and Blenheim Memorial Arena are now available for booking.
Adult and Membership Skating, Tiny Tot Skating, and Stick & Puck Skills sessions will also begin at Thames Campus Arena in Chatham the second week of August.

All ten municipal arenas will be open for the 2023/24 fall/winter season by the third week of September. The full schedule of public programming, including public skates, will begin on October 1.
