Ballhawks win gold at Kitchener tournament

 

The Chatham U17 Ballhawks team won gold at a tournament in Kitchener. It was a successful weekend for the Chatham Ballhawks organization. This was the first weekend of Ontario Volleyball Assocition (OVA) tournament play, with the 17U team winning gold, and the 16U team earning a silver medal in the Simcoe tournament.

17U girls team
The 17U girls won gold in Kitchener Sunday. They went a perfect 10-0 in the tournament.
In the final, Chatham swept Cambridge Scorpions Rise 2-0 (25-20, 25-13). In the semi-finals the Ballhawks won 2-0 (25-22, 25-23) against South County Bandits Select (Windsor). In the quarterfinals the BallHawks beat K-W Predators Infinity 2-0 (25-20, 25-16).
The U17 girls cruised in pool play, defeating K-W Predators engage 2-0 (26-24, 25-21) and Rose City Red 2-0 (25-13, 25-18).

U16 Ballhawks

In Simcoe on Saturday, the Ballhawks advanced to the finals, where they lost to Forest City.
