Cowan expected to be key player for Ontario Tech
Chatham’s Elliot Cowan returned from an injury and played her first game of the year for Ontario Tech on Sunday against Nipissing in Oshawa. She scored five points in 24 minutes in a 71-54 loss to the Lakers in OUA women’s basketball action.
Cowan, a second-year player and a Ursuline College Chatham grad, is expected to be a key player for the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks this season.
Wallaceburg’s Megan McCarter had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds for Nipissing
On Saturday, Chatham’s Maggie Denys had 13 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Windsor Lancers in a 79-61 home win over Laurier.
