Tom Hardie is stepping down as the chair of the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame after a 10 year-run as their chairman of the board.

Tom Baker, a retired elementary school principal, is taking over for Hardie.

In a post on social media, the Hall of Fame said Harvie was in modernizing Hall, taking the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame virtual so that people anywhere can visit the Hall, and view inductee stories and memorabilia.

The post goes on to say Hardie leaves the Board & Sports Hall of Fame positioned for a strong future. “Tom’s class and grace will long be remembered. Thank you Tom, best regards,” said the post.
