Blenheim’s Abby Stonehouse scored a pair of first-period goals, as Team Canada defeated Finland 8-1 in the IHHF under 18 world women’s hockey championship bronze medal game held on Sunday in Zug, Switzerland.
For her efforts, Stonehouse was named Team Canada’s player of the game.
Overall, Stonehouse had a strong tournament, potting four goals and seven assists for 11 points in six games.
