Fischer continues to dominate for Lambton
Wallaceburg’s Brett Fischer, a fifth-year forward, is continuing her strong season with the Lambton College women’s basketball team.
Fischer is a Lambton Student-Athlete of the Week for the third time this season after yet another double-double performance last weekend. Fischer recorded her eighth double-double of the season in the 74-62 win for the Lions on the road over Humber on Saturday afternoon.
Fischer had 13 points and 18 rebounds in the win, while also recording four steals and a pair of assists to help the Lions push their record to 11-2.
For the season, Fischer is averaging 13.5 points and an OCAA leading 11.5 rebounds per game. She is also first in the league with 73 offensive rebounds and 150 total rebounds.
Lambton is ranked second in the OCAA and ninth in Canada women’s basketball college rankings.
Lambton has three regular season games left on their schedule, a home game this Saturday versus Niagara, followed by a road trip next weekend to Redeemer and Conestoga.
