Registration now open for Run for the Kids fundraiser

Registration is now open for the second annual Run for the Kids, organized by the Children’s Treatment Centre (CTC) Foundation of Chatham-Kent.

This event is set to take place in the surroundings of Rondeau Provincial Park on Sunday, June 23.

The event includes:
-200m Kids Fun walk/run/move
-5km walk/run/move

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with race time beginning at 10 a.m. It’s open to all ages and abilities.

Run for the Kids is not just a race; it’s also a day filled with fun, family-friendly activities, and an opportunity to support a vital cause. Not all services at the Children’s Treatment Centre are covered by government funding. Programs like Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation Services and Music Therapy are all funded by the CTC Foundation. Proceeds from this event will mean families continue to receive connection, comfort and support by accessing these programs.

Participants are welcome to join in celebrating health, happiness, and the great outdoors, all while contributing to the incredible work of the Children’s Treatment Centre.

Registration is now open. Participants can create their own team and have friends and family join their team. You can register online here: https://ctcf-ck.com/runforthekids/

The first annual Run for the Kids was a success. It took place on June 25 of last year, in Rondeau Provincial Park. A total of $80,000 was raised for the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent (CTC Foundation). The event saw 250 participants of all ages and abilities come together to run, walk, or move either a 200m or a 5km distance.
