Carleton named Basketball Canada player of the week

Chatham’s Bridget Carleton was named Basketball Canada’s female player of the week (May 27-31) for her efforts on the court with the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx.

The Minnesota Lynx are 4-1 to start the WNBA season, their best start in several years.
Carleton lifted Minnesota to two straight wins last week over the New York Liberty and the Atlanta Dream. Carleton posted 14 points, two rebounds, and three assists in a big win against the Liberty. She followed it up with six points and five rebounds against the Dream.

Carleton last helped the Canadian Senior Women’s National Team qualify for the Paris Olympics in February.
