Chatham’s Carleton shines in Commissioner’s Cup win
Chatham’s Bridget Carleton continued her strong play this season, scoring 23 points to lead the Minnesota Lynx to the Commissioner’s Cup championship, with a 94-89 win over the host New York Liberty on Tuesday night.
The Lynx became the fourth different team to win the Cup in the event’s four-year history.
Carleton and the Lynx continue to have strong seasons.
Carleton was six of eight on three-pointers. On Thursday, Carleton had 17 points in a 94-88 loss to the Dallas Wings.
The Lynx are on top of the WNBA’s Western Conference with a 13-4 record.
The teams for the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup will split a prize pool of $500,000 US. Players on Minnesota can make up to $30,000 while each player on New York makes $10,000. Every player competing will also receive $5,000 in crypto currency.
