There should be no argument—Chatham’s Ethan Jordan was the best Canadian university wide receiver in the nation.

It was a bittersweet weekend for Jordan. His Laurier Golden Hawks lost in the Vanier Cup—Canada’s university football championship–, as Laval University won 22-17 in the game held in Kingston on Nov. 24. It was Laurier’s first loss of the season, as they were 11-0 going into the matchup.

Jordan had a big game at the Vanier Cup, as he caught 11 passes for 179 yards.

Earlier in the week Jordan was named a first-team U Sports all-Canadian for the second straight year. He was named a second-team all-Canadian in 2022.

During the regular season he led all U Sports receivers in receptions (59), touchdowns (10), yards per game (125) and total yards (1,000). Jordan is the first Laurier receiver to hit the 1,000 yard benchmark.

Eligible for both the CFL and NFL drafts, Jordan will continue to train, as he has been invited to the College Gridiron Showcase being held in Fort Worth, Texas January 10-12.
