Meyskens claims another Farmers win

Jerry Meyskens skipped his team to the championship of the 38th All Ontario Farmers bonspiel with a win over the Paul Dhaen team on Sunday. Both teams are out of Wallaceburg.
Held at the Sydenham Community Curling Club in Wallaceburg, 28 teams both local and across the province came to participate in the bonspiel.
The winning team won $3,000, beating teams from Cookstown, Sarnia, Espanola , and Wallaceburg on their way to the title. This was Jerry Meyskens ninth All-Ontario Farmers win, and his first since 2014. Bob Devolder has won eight times and Randy Meykens—Gerry’s son, has won four times.
Teams came from long distances to curl in this prestigious bonspiel, with the furthest team coming from Espanola..
All proceeds from the bonspiel go to the continued benefit of all members of Sydenham Community Curling Club and its non-profit, volunteer run, recreational and meeting facility.
All 28 teams in multiple flights received cash or agricultural products as prizes. Generously donated by 100 + agricultural companies. Special mention to Patterson Motors who donate shuttle vans that are run by club volunteers throughout the weekend to local motels.
Next year’s 39th edition of the All-Ontario Farmers Curling Bonspiel is scheduled for Jan 16-18, 2026.
