Chatham trio lead Ridley College to championship

Three talented Chatham basketball players helped guide Ridley College’s boys basketball team to a Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) championship on Sunday (March 9) held at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.

Caleb Roberts, CJ Roberts and Jaxen Baker led Ridley College to a 65-61 win over Hodan Prep to win the championship. Baker hit a late three-pointer to seal the victory for the Ridley, which is prep school located in St. Catharines. Caleb Roberts found Baker with a key assist on the key bucket.

Ridley was the top team in the OSBA’s Western Conference in the regular season with a 12-3 record.

Prior to going to Ridley, the CK trio all played at Ursuline College, where they were on the Lancers’ 2023 team which finished with a silver medal at the OFSAA ‘AAA’ championships.
