Wrestlers earn medals at OFSAA

Three local wrestlers earned medals at the OFSAA wrestling meeting held last week in Kitchener.

Ursuline’s Emmanuella Caleb won bronze in the girls’ 72-kilogram division, and Ursuline’s Ayden Brown took antique bronze in boys’ 130+ kg. Tilbury’s Shelby Kemp won antique bronze in girls’ 57.5 kg for placing fourth

The Ursuline Lancers were able to send five wrestlers to OFSAA and Tilbury had one.

Grade 9 wrestlers Hunter Hottot and Aurora Williams made their debuts at OFSAA and each won one match.

Paige Srokosz, who was the SWOSSAA champion in the girls’ 47.5 kg division, defeated the top seed in her division on her way to a top 12 finish.
