Maroons open playoff series with a loss

The Chatham Maroons dropped their opening game of the GOJHL Western Conference final Thursday night in St. Mary’s, losing 4-0 to the St. Marys Lincolns.

Chatham outshot St. Marys 27-25, including 14-3 in the final period.

Game 2 in the best-of-seven series is Sunday at Chatham Memorial Arena at 7 p.m. Game 3 is back in Stone Town on Tuesday, with Game 4 scheduled for Thursday in Chatham at 7:30 p.m.
