Red Devils open season with two wins

The Wallaceburg Red Devils opened their 2025 Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League (OJBLL) with a pair of home wins.
On Sunday, the Red Devils defeated the Point Edward Pacers 13-10. Scoring goals for Wallaceburg; Brayden Mitchell with four goals and five assists, Reece Parker with three, Colton Noah and Brandon Taylor with two each, Dracen Campbell and Cohen Veenstra with a goal each.
Brandon Taylor had five goals to lead the Red Devils. Brayden Mitchell added three goals as part of a seven-point night. Dracen Campbell scored three goals as well. Drew O’Neil had one goal for Wallaceburg.
On Saturday, the Red Devils defeated the Windsor Clippers 13-7.
Speaking after the Red Devils first game, head coach Gord Lilley said he was happy with his team’s performance.
“It was a good effort,” Lilley said, noting that the third period is where his team stood out.
The Red Devils have a mix of veterans and newcommers to their squad.
“We’re fast, our offence has scoring power from both sides of the floor. Our defence has some good strong kids—they’re young but they play their position well. A few little mistakes, but that comes with the youth. We’ll get them there,” Lilley said.
The Red Devils play at home on Tuesday, hosting the London Blue Devils. Game time is 8 p.m.
