Grande Pointe’s Deni Goure has signed a two-way contract with the American Hockey League’s Chicago Wolves.
The Chicago Wolves are the AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes.
Last season, his first as a professional hockey player, Goure signed with the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers but spent the majority of his season in the ECHL with the Rapid City Rush. Goure played in only one game with the Wranglers and played in 69 games with the Rush. With the Rush, Goure had 23 goals and 32 assists for 55 points, which was the third-highest point total for ECHL rookies.
A first-round OHL draft pick of the Owen Sound Attack in 2019, Goure played four years in Owen Sound. Goure had 102 goals, 149 assists and 251 points over 259 regular season games in his junior career.
