Schinkelshoek named to Team Ontario

Pain Court’s Gavin Schinkelshoek will represent Ontario at the Canada Summer Games Aug. 8-25 in St. John’s, N.L.

Going into his Grade 11 year at Pain Court, it has been a great year so far for Schinkelshoek, as he won an OFSAA silver medal in the open boys 100-metre freestyle in March.

Competing for the Windsor Aquatic Club, Schinkelshoek also won three gold medals and a bronze at the Ontario age group championships earlier this year.

Last month, Schinkelshoek won five medals, including three golds at the Ontario long-course swimming championships held in Scarborough.
