Formosa and Chui earned their medals during the Dual Pattern shift. Dual pattern bowling is where two different oil patterns are used simultaneously. This format, frequently used in professional (PBA) events and high-level sport tournaments, requires bowlers to make constant, precise adjustments as they move between lanes.
The Teen Masters Global bowling event featured the best junior bowlers from across the world. It took place February 3-5 at the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino.
The duo were the only Canadians taking part in the international competition.
Formosa, a John McGregor student, qualified for the Teen Masters Global tournament, by winning the Canadian qualifier in Scarborough last summer. He was the highest u19 boy finishing 75 pins ahead of the next u19 boy.
