Chatham trio leads Ridley College to NPA title

Caleb Roberts, C.J. Roberts and Jaxen Baker helped lead Ridley College’s boys basketball team to the National Preparatory Association (NPA) title on Saturday,
The three players from Chatham, played key roles for Ridley College, as they defeated Kings Heights 98-84 in the final played at Humber College.
Caleb Roberts led Ridley with 27 points, as well as a team high 11 rebounds and four assists. Jaxen Baker provided 15 points and six rebounds, and C.J. Roberts chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Kings Heights, which is based out of Vaughn, was led by Praise Badejo, a member of Canada’s U16 team, who had 34 points.
Caleb Roberts was named the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association MVP. He averaged 22.5 points a game, 4.3 assists and seven rebounds per game. He played his first two seasons at Ursuline College before moving on to Ridley College.
He will be playing in the CWENCH All-Canadian boys basketball game this weekend. The game features the top high school Canadian basketball players.
