Kent Cobras U12A win OMHA championship

The U12A Kent Cobras are the 2026 OMHA gold medal champions.

The team earned their provincial champion red hats by winning the final 2-1 in overtime over the Southeast Surge on April 5 in Whitby.

The Cobras went undefeated all weekend, winning all five games, and held onto the number one ranking in Ontario all season.

The Cobras downed the Mt. Brydges Cougars 6-1 in a semifinal.

They beat the Georgian Bay Islanders 8-1, the Surge 3-2 and the South Oxford Storm 5-1 in pool play.

They closed out their season on a 22-game winning streak and a 62-6-2 record
